Two days ago our Chicago mayor said “it isn’t necessary” to have a Department of Justice review of the City Law Department. But now he announces he will have a “third party” look into his collection of lawyers, as he announced a few firings, the first on the front lines thrown under the bus.
But the Feds are already here. Imagine the sound of shredders and frantic meetings, trying to restore the Mayor’s beloved smirk.
Who’s smirking now? Not Rahm. Not Anita Alvareza. Not the corrupt players all throughout Cook County.
For those of us whose lives have been destroyed by Cook County corruption in Family Court, the time has come for smirks to be wiped off of those faces.
